Named after Medal‑of‑Honor recipient Clyde Lassen. Home‑port shifted from San Diego to Yokosuka, Japan in 2005, assigned to US Seventh Fleet. Equipped with Aegis combat system, 96‑cell Mk‑41 VLS, capable of anti‑air, anti‑surface, anti‑submarine and land‑attack strike missions.
