    Historical Background

    • The Krupp/Ardelt Waffenträger 88mm Pak 43 was a late-WWII German experimental tank destroyer developed in 1944.
    • It mounted the formidable 8.8cm Pak 43 anti-tank gun on a lightweight tracked chassis based on 38(t) components, designed for mobile anti-armor defence.
    • This vehicle featured minimal armour protection to keep weight low and maximise mobility.
    • Only a small number of prototypes were completed before the end of the war, it never entered mass production or large-scale combat deployment.
