    The Polish PT-76B is an upgraded Cold War-era light amphibious tank, improved based on the original Soviet PT-76 platform and widely adopted by the Polish People's Republic military. Officially upgraded in 1957, the PT-76B variant features a modified 76mm D-56TM main gun with an optimized muzzle brake, effectively solving the gas obstruction issue of the earlier gun model. It is additionally equipped with an NBC protection system and external auxiliary fuel tanks, greatly improving battlefield survivability and endurance. Retaining the classic streamlined watertight hull and rear water jet propulsion system, it maintains excellent full amphibious crossing capability. Serving in the Polish Navy Marine Brigade and mechanized troops for decades, it undertook reconnaissance, amphibious assault and coastal defense missions.
