    Historical Background

    The France 35/38 (H), also known as Char Léger Hotchkiss H35/H38, was a French light cavalry tank developed before World War II. Adopted by French cavalry troops, it featured cast armor hull and turret with good ballistic protection, armed with a 37mm SA34 main gun and coaxial machine gun. The tank was designed for reconnaissance and infantry support tasks. It saw extensive combat during the Battle of France in 1940. Though with reliable armor protection, it suffered from weak gun power and limited mobility. A large number of captured vehicles were later pressed into service by German forces. As a typical French interwar light tank, it has high collection and research value for military model enthusiasts.
