    Strv.103 (S‑Tank) is the world‑famous turret‑less main battle tank developed by Sweden in the 1950s‑60s. The 105 mm main gun is rigid‑mounted on hull; aiming relies on track differential steering for traverse and hydro‑pneumatic suspension for gun elevation. Strv.103C is the late upgraded variant, fitted with improved engine, laser rangefinder and auxiliary fuel tanks. Its ultra‑low profile greatly reduces target silhouette, well‑adapted to Sweden’s forest and hilly terrain, served in Swedish army from 1967 until 1997.
