    • The Grizzly is the armored personnel carrier variant of Canada’s AVGP family, built on Swiss MOWAG Piranha I 6×6 wheeled armored vehicle platform
    • It entered Canadian Army service in 1976, operated by a 3-person crew and able to carry up to 6 fully equipped infantry soldiers
    • Late production models removed the original amphibious propeller system and received upgraded radios and GPS fittings for peacekeeping missions
    • This vehicle was widely deployed in UN and NATO peacekeeping operations including the Balkan SFOR mission
    • It was gradually retired and replaced by the LAV III armored vehicles, being an important representative of Canada’s first-generation wheeled armored fleet
