    Historical Background

    The KZKT-7428 "Rusich" is a Soviet/Russian heavy 8×8 tank transporter developed by the Kurgan Wheel Tractor Plant. Entering service in 1981, it replaced the older MAZ-537 series. Powered by a 650 hp YaMZ V12 turbocharged diesel engine, it can haul loads up to 70 tons across rough terrain and works reliably within an extreme temperature range from -50℃ to +50℃. The matching KZKT-9101 semi-trailer uses multi-wheel bogies and hydraulic supports for transporting heavy armoured fighting vehicles.
