Historical Background

The T-34/85 is a famous Soviet WWII medium tank, mass-produced starting in early 1944. This variant was manufactured by Factory No.183, equipped with the powerful 85mm main gun and new three-man turret. It greatly improved combat capability to confront German heavy tanks such as Tiger and Panther. It played a core role in the great offensives of the Red Army, including the Battle of Berlin, pushing back German forces in the final stage of World War II. The T-34/85 became one of the most iconic armoured fighting vehicles of the Second World War.
