- The M10 is an American tank destroyer produced and used during World War II.
- The U.S. Army organized a tank destroyer battalion that specialized in anti-tank combat, and was equipped with M3 heavy self-propelled guns equipped with field guns on half-tracks. Then, a T35 prototype vehicle equipped with a new open-top turret equipped with a T12 tank gun on the body of the M4A2 was developed.
- After that, from the experience of fighting with the Japanese army, the T35E1 with a pentagon turret and a tilted armor on the body was created, and in 1942 it was formalized as the M10.
- 4,993 M10s were produced from September 1942 to December 1943.
