TAKOM 6016 1/350 Project 658M SSBN Submarine Model Kit

- The Hotel-class nuclear submarine was a type of ballistic missile submarine used by the Soviet Navy and was the first of its kind to be equipped with a nuclear power plant.
- There are three subtypes of this ship, Type 1 to Type 3, and eight of them were commissioned between 1960 and 1962.
- Developed as a successor to the conventionally propelled Golf-class submarines, the Hotel 1 had the drawback of only being able to launch ballistic missiles when surfaced. In the 1960s, all vessels were converted to the Project 658M vessels (Hotel 2), equipped with the R-21 submarine-launched ballistic missile capable of being launched underwater.
