      Historical Background

      The Sd.Kfz.250/9 Ausf.A was a German light armored reconnaissance half-track in WWII. It was developed based on the 1-ton half-track chassis, fitted with an open turret armed with 20mm autocannon. This vehicle served with German reconnaissance units for scouting, flank security and light combat missions. The Ausf.A represents the early production variant with complex faceted armor hull before the simplified Ausf.B version.
