Historical Background

The Škoda PA‑II, nicknamed “Želva (Turtle)”, was a unique inter‑war armoured car designed in Czechoslovakia in 1923‑1924.

It featured fully rounded, streamlined armour hull armed with multiple Schwarzlose machine‑guns.

Mainly operated by Czechoslovak police units; small quantity also delivered to Austrian police.

After German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, captured vehicles were reused as radio and observation armoured cars in early WWII, including the 1940 French campaign.
