Historical background:

M1128 is the Mobile Artillery System (MGS) of the Stryker Brigade, equipped with a 105mm M68A1E4 rifled gun and an automatic loader, used for direct fire support.
It was equipped with grille armor when it went to Afghanistan in 2008, and further strengthened its protection, integrated MILES laser combat training system, and upgraded its fire control and cooling system after 2010.
