Named in honour of Medal‑of‑Honor recipient Clyde Lassen. Home‑port transferred to Yokosuka, Japan in 2005, assigned to United States Seventh Fleet. Equipped with Aegis combat system and 96‑cell Mk‑41 vertical launch system, capable of air‑defence, anti‑surface, anti‑submarine and land‑attack combat missions.
