The Lord Clive was a monitor built during World War I for coastal attack purposes.
The bow of the ship, which had a low freeboard and a flush deck, was equipped with a twin BL 12-inch MkVIII turret borrowed from the Majestic-class battleships.
In 1918 she was refitted with two BL 18-inch MkI guns mounted on the aft deck.
The kit is precisely and accurately modeled.

HMS Lord Clive is Britain's Lord Clive class Monitor first ship. She named according to the first Baron Robert Clive, the Seven Years' War in the British general who won the Battle of Plassey, becoming the British Viceroy of India. Her main gun was taken from a 12-inch front dreadnoughts MKVIII type gun. When the World War I in the English Channel she bombing German positions along the Belgian coast.
