History:

In the early stages of World War II, during the Battle of France (1940), as the main force of the British army, heavy armor performed well against the German 37mm anti tank gun and successfully broke through the defense line multiple times.
Fatal weakness: Machine guns cannot penetrate German tank armor, and their speed is too slow, making them easily isolated and annihilated under the mobile encirclement of the German "Blitzkrieg".
Rapid elimination: After the 1940 French campaign, the Matilda I was quickly replaced by the more advanced Matilda II (A12) due to deficiencies in firepower and mobility, with only about 140 units produced.
