    Historical Background

    The M983A2 is an 8×8 heavy tactical truck of the US HEMTT family. This kit reproduces the vehicle towing the GLCM Griffon ground-launched cruise missile system armed with BGM-109G Tomahawk missiles. GLCM was deployed in Europe during the Cold War as a mobile nuclear strike platform, later withdrawn under the INF Treaty.
