[About actual car]
- The Escort was born in 1967 as a small popular car developed by in the UK.
- A 4-cylinder engine is installed vertically at the front, and a general FR system that drives the rear tires is adopted.
- Suspension also adopted a rigid axle leaf spring for the rear wheel.
- The first model, the Mk.I, was produced until 1974 and was succeeded by the Mk.II.
-Escort, which gained popularity as a small mass-market car, has a simple mechanism configuration and is also active as a base vehicle in various categories of motor sports.
- A high-performance sporty model was added, and the RS1600 equipped with Cosworth's BDA1600cc twin cam won many victories in the rally field from the end of the 1960s to the 1970s.
